December 9th meeting cancelled
Hi All,
I am so sorry. My hubby was up sick with a terrible stomach thing all night. My oldest has a school concert tonight, so we were going to have to divide and conquer. With him out of commission, I will have to get kids over to the concert instead of 4-h now.
I am happy to reschedule for next week and/ or for the 23rd. Please let me know what would work for everyone.
Cheers, Kinza

Welcome to Good News 4-H Club
What/ Where:
Welcome to Good News 4-H Club. We are an Adams County 4-H club meeting at Good News Church in Broomfield, CO. Good News is located 1 block west of 136th Ave and Sheridan Bl., near the Aspen Creek Subdivision.
4-H is a service and educational program supported through the US Dept. of Agriculture. Our club also receives support through Colorado State University and Adams County Extension Office. You can see more information about 4-H in Colorado at http://www.colorado4h.org/
4-H is about much more than agriculture. "One million new scientists, one million new ideas" is the new motto of 4-H. 4-H has a goal of attracting one million American children into it's science, technology and engineering programs by 2013. In addition, we would like to build positive character traits, teamwork and have fun while learning. Whatever you have an interest in, 4-H has a program for you.
When: We are currently planning on our first meeting October 14th at 6:30pm. Our first meeting will cover some club basics, a "get to know you" game, and some fun activities on rocketry. Parents, please attend the first meeting with your child. We will continue to explore rocketry on our second meeting, October 28th.
In November we will only have one formal meeting. That will be Nov. 11th. We will be exploring cake decorating. Everyone will get to decorate cupcakes and cookies for the holidays!
Who: Everyone! 4-H is open to all children ages 5-19. 4-H figures your age on Dec 31st for competitions the following year. Children under 5 are welcome to attend and participate as well, but do not formally enroll. Ages 5-7 are called, "Cloverbuds". 8-19 are "traditional" members.
My name is Kinza Burney. I am currently the Organizational Leader for Good News 4-H. I grew up showing 4-H in Boulder County. I have four children. Our two oldest have been showing in 4-H for four years. We have successfully completed projects in rabbits, poultry, gardening, cake decorating, foods, food preservation and creative cooks.
We need adults and high school students interested in being project leaders and junior leaders. If you have any interest in helping with a project please let me know. I would love to have your help. Our clubs most immediate need is someone to help with the Cloverbuds and younger members.
Cost: $35 per year/ per child is paid for state 4-H support. There are scholarships available. The club plans to raise some funds through light fundraising. This money will provide funds for field trips and supplies. Until we have done some fundraising, there may be some small fees for voluntary field trips and activities.
